ElectHER, Nigerian female-focused political advocacy organization receives $100,000 grant

ElectHER has received $100,000 in grants from Diatom Impact and the United States National Endowment for Democracy (NED).
In an agreement with both organizations for a one-year duration starting July 2020, ElectHER will implement activities aimed at increasing women’s political representation and leadership in Nigeria.
Diatom Impact has committed to support ElectHER with a grant of $50,000 for a one-year period. The funds will go towards setting up and launching the ElectHER Academy which will provide access to quality online and offline training for at least 1,000 Women interested in politics.
The funds will also support the pioneer batch of the ElectHER Future Lawmakers Programme, a 6-month intensive fellowship and incubator programme aimed at identifying young women and equipping them with the tools, network, and resources they need to become Future Lawmakers in Nigeria.
